Alexander Isak has never publicly stated his religion. He was born in Sweden to Eritrean parents, and Eritrea has both large Christian and Muslim communities, so his family background does not settle the question. Claims online that he is Christian or Muslim are unconfirmed.

What Religion Is Alexander Isak?
There is no verified answer. Isak keeps his private life out of interviews and has not discussed religion publicly. Unlike some footballers who pray on the pitch or post about religious holidays, he has not made his faith, or lack of one, part of his public profile.
Eritrean Family Background
Isak was born and raised in Solna, just north of Stockholm, to parents who came to Sweden from Eritrea. He came through the youth system at AIK before moves to Borussia Dortmund, Real Sociedad and Newcastle United, and he joined Liverpool in 2025.
Eritrea’s population is split mainly between Christians, most of them members of the Eritrean Orthodox Tewahedo Church, and Sunni Muslims. That is why his heritage is used to argue for both religions online, and why it proves neither.
Why You See Conflicting Answers Online
Many websites state his religion as fact, and some even attribute quotes about God to him. Those quotes cannot be traced to any original interview. Until Isak speaks about it himself, the honest answer is that his religion is not known.
